What this site is

lawyer.co is a plain guide to hiring a personal injury lawyer: how fees work, how to check a license, what to ask and what to read before you sign. It is attorney advertising, published by The Ledger Law Firm, and you can use it to hire any lawyer you like.

General information only

The site gives general information. It is not legal advice about your situation. A rule shown here is a general statement with exceptions that the page may not list, and each rule links to its source so you can read the regulation itself.

Attorney review of the pages that state rules is in progress, and each such page says so.

No attorney client relationship

Reading the site does not make the firm your lawyer, and neither does sending the form. That relationship begins with a written agreement signed by you and the firm. Until then, please do not send anything confidential.
